Advance Directives and Living Wills
Cornerstone Surgicare, LLC is a freestanding ambulatory surgery center and inasmuch is unable to provide interpretive patient procedures that enable Medical Providers to determine anatomical function necessary to carry out the terms of most Advance Directives (also known as Living Wills or Do Not Resuscitate orders.) Inasmuch the Governing Body of Cornerstone Surgicare, LLC has adopted policies directing that for any patient involved in a life-threatening event, facility personnel and Medical Providers will take all measures available to resuscitate and stabilize the patient. Once stabilized, the patient, along with their Advance Directive, if any, will be transferred to an acute care hospital capable of providing adequate services and/or procedures for Medical Professionals to carry out the wishes of the patient as set forth in the provisions of the Advance Directives.
PHYSICIAN OWNERSHIP
Cornerstone Surgicare, LLC is licensed as a multi-specialty ambulatory surgical facility. Its ownership is shared by 6 physician and Practice Partners in Healthcare, Inc. The ambulatory surgical center complies with all State, Federal and accrediting guidelines. While the ambulatory surgical center has physician-ownership, operational management is performed by Practice Partners in Healthcare, Inc., a professional Ambulatory Surgical Facility Management Company.
